Art Statement

 Art Statement

“I fking hate 3D.” As a illustrator who just diving into the world of 3D, I’ve had my fair share of struggles—confusing software, endless workflows, and moments where I just wanted to throw my computer out the window. But here’s the thing: I don’t actually hate 3D. In fact, I’m starting to see how it’s going to make me a better artist.

Right now, I’m in that awkward phase where everything feels slow and clunky, but I know it’s just part of the process. I’m learning to embrace the chaos, one step at a time. And honestly, It’s kind of fun. There’s something satisfying about finally nailing a tricky modeling task or seeing a 3D render come together after hours of tweaking.

I’m not trying to become a full-blown 3D artist—I’m a concept artist at heart. But I know that adding 3D to my toolkit will open up so many possibilities. It’s like having a superpower: I can sketch out an idea in 2D, then jump into 3D to explore it from every angle, play with lighting, or test out compositions. It’s not about replacing my love for 2D; it’s about enhancing it.

So yeah, I might grumble about 3D from time to time, but deep down, I’m excited about where this journey is taking me. I’m learning to love the process, even when it’s frustrating, and I can’t wait to see how it shapes my art in the future. Who knows? Maybe one day I’ll stop joking about hating 3D and start bragging about how much I love it. Until then, I’ll keep laughing, learning, and creating—one polygon at a time.
